The Council Public Awareness Committee is a new addition to the KAC PTA this year. It will be working to raise the profile of KAC PTA in the community and within local unit PTAs. A main goal of the Public Awareness Committee is to extend the support and services offered by the KAC PTA beyone its monthly meetings.

The Public Awareness Committee newsletter will be published monthly and mailed directly to local unit officers and committee chairs via district mail. The newsletter will provide information on upcoming presentations, training, and workshops of interest to these officers and committee chairs.

In addition to outreach services for local units, the Public Awareness Committee will be launching the Community Parters program for local businesses and merchants. They will be invited to make a donation to KAC PTA to support Council in its efforts to provide services to Kent PTA local units. The participating businesses will be given a certificate identifying them as Community Partners.
