BREAKING NEWS: Kent Area Council PTA Endorses EHJR 4204 - Simple Majority for Our Schools. This legislation would change the state constitution which currently requires a 60% super-majority to pass local school levies, to a much more fair 50% + 1 vote.

*If your PTA’s newsletter is distributed by "Kid Mail" (sent home with students, is mailed with the school’s newsletter etc) then it is essential to first obtain permission from the school’s principal before including this article in your PTA’s newsletter. Legislative Assembly is where PTA advocates from across the state gather to learn more about the proposed legislative issues, debate each issue, and then vote to determine the WSPTA Legislative Priorities for the upcoming legislative session.
